Dev Log #1 (Sep.11 - Sep.18)

During the first week of designing our game, we decided to create a third-person narrative puzzle game. The story centers on exploring the main character’s memories, with each level representing a different page from their sketchbook. The first level is set during the character's childhood, taking place by the seaside. We've started bringing this peaceful, beachside setting to life through environment modeling, and so far, we've created assets like a sandcastle, brush pen, umbrella, and other elements that help build the atmosphere of the first level.

We’re still drawing inspiration from what we developed during the game jam, but now we’re working on refining how the childhood theme comes through and how it connects with the puzzle mechanics. Our goal for next week is to finalize these decisions while staying true to that original vision. By the end of this phase, we’re hoping to have the first page fully designed and to have locked down the direction for the rest of the game.

The file include the we made from game jam2.
